    Dr. M. P. Chhaya (President)  
 
 
 

Dr. M P Chhaya has a long experience since 1950 in the field of education. He is associated with the schools of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chinmaya Mission, Shri Aurobindo Educational Society, Indian Public Schools Conference, National Progressive Public Schools, Navodaya Vidyalayas,Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Tibetian Residential Schools and other private and government schools. He was the Educational Advisor in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi. He was the member of the governing council of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi. He has toured all over the world and studied the educational system of USA, UK, Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland and Japan. He is, at present, the Director, Global Indian Education Foundation, Singapore, managing schools internationally at Singapore, Kaula Lumpur, Tokyo, New Zealand, Bangkok, Vietnam and India.

 
    Mr. Ashoke Chatterjee
 
 
 

Mr. Chatterjee did his M.B.A from Miami University-USA in 1957 after B.A (Hons) in Economics,
St Stephen's College (Delhi University). An expert in the field of training and consultancy with
varying topics related to communication, health, education and institution/human resource
development, craft regeneration, ecology and conservation. He was associated with NID for 15 years from 1975-2000. His Major assignments are with CEE, EDI at Ahmedabad, MS University-Baroda, CD&L-Bangalore, GAP, WSSCC-WSMO (Govt.of Gujarat), WSSCC-Geneva KCWG,RGF, INTACH (Govt. of India), UNFPA, UNIUCN (USA, Geneva), Health Link (UK). He has been conferred the Sir Misha Black Award by the Royal Society of Industrial Artists and Designers(UK) in 1985, became the fellow of Society of Industrial Designers, Mexico & is a life Member of India International Center, New Delhi.

 
    Mr. Bijal Chhatrapati
 
 
 
A commerce and law graduate, Mr. Chhatrapati qualified as a Solicitor, having stood first in
the examination conducted by the Incorporated Law Society, Bombay. Mr. Chhatrapati has
been practicing as a Lawyer since 1985 and has experience and expertise, inter alia, in handling Corporate Commercial Litigation, Constitutional matters, Mergers, Acquisitions and Takeovers,Joint Ventures, Legal Audits and Due Diligence Exercises, Intellectual Property Rights Litigations,Drafting of Commercial Agreement, etc. Mr. Chhatrapati is presently a Partner with the firm of M/s. Singhi & Co., which has presence at Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Mr. Chhatrapati is on the Managing Committee of Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh, a school for visually impaired girls, offering lodging and boarding and in-house facilities in Braille education up to 7th standard.
 
    Mr. Hiten Vasant
 
 
 

Mr. Hiten Vasant is the director of Vasant Transport Pvt. Ltd., Siddhi Vinayak Buildcon Pvt. Ltd.,Vasant Cargo Movers Pvt. Ltd. and Vinammra Communication Pvt. Ltd. He is also the CMD of Vasant Overseas Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Vasant is a Law graduate from Gujarat University and alumnus of the IIM Ahmedabad Small and Medium Enterprise Program (SMEP). Mr. Vasant is a reformist at heart and is active in the social services sector. He is a member of the Governing Body of the L.J. Trust, and is a Trustee of Calorx Education & Research Foundation, Samvedna Trust, Utthan Trust, National Institute for Leadership & Public Administration, and Citizen’s Council. He is also the treasurer for AIR (Ahmedabad's Initiative for Reduction in Pollution).

 
    Mrs. Manjula Pooja Shroff
 
 
 

Mrs. Manjula Pooja Shroff is a social entrepreneur and founder of the Delhi Public School Bopal Ahmedabad, Prerna, Visamo Kids, The Calorx School, Delhi Public School East Ahmedabad, Calorx Public School Mundra & Rajula, Calorx Pre-School and Calorx Teachers’ University. She holds a post-graduate degree in Political Science from Utkal University and is a Graduate of Management Education Programme from IIM, Ahmedabad. Besides being known as a visionary and an educationist in Gujarat, Mrs. Shroff also successfully runs a business of hospitality & corporate services – Calorx India Ltd., New Delhi. She’s a recipient of several awards including the prestigious Secular India Award from the President of India, Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma, and the Woman of the Year award by the American Bibliography Society, North Carolina.

 
    Mr. Pratul Shroff
 
 
 

Mr. Shroff is the CEO of eInfochips. He holds a BS in Electronics Engineering from BITS - 1976, and a MS in Computer Engineering from Cornell - 1977. He has worked for 9 years at Intel and Daisy Systems. At Intel, he was one of the designers of the 80186 chip, fountainhead of the PC era. Pratul was one of the founders of Daisy. Having started from scratch, Daisy achieved $125 million in sales and employed around 1200 people with operations around the world within five years of its founding. Spotting the synergy between Indian engineering talent and the requirements of the US market, he founded eInfochips in 1995 with just one engineer, working out of his home. Today, eInfochips with an Offshore Development Center at India offers solutions and services to global clients.

 
 
    Prof.  Shyam Menon
 
 
 

Shyam Menon has been a Professor at the Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi
since 1994. He had been Dean, Faculty of Education and the Proctor of the University of
Delhi, Director, School of Education, Indira Gandhi National Open University and a Professor
at the Central Institute of Educational Technology, NCERT. Professor Menon studied at the
University of Kerala, and the M.S. University of Baroda. He was later at the University of
Wisconsin, Madison as a Fulbright Fellow. He is at present on the international advisory board of Comparative Education, Teaching Education and Asia Pacific Journal of Education. He is currently on the Task Force on Access to Higher Education constituted by the International Association of Universities. Since August 2008, Professor Menon is with the newly established Ambedkar University, Delhi as its Vice Chancellor.

 
    Mr. Sudhir Mankad
 
 
 

Sudhir Mankad has done MA (History) from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University and a
Diploma in Development Studies in 1980 from Cambridge University. He has served as a
Chairman at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Co. Ltd, Bhavnagar Electricity Company
Ltd (BECL), Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology (GUIDE) and was a Director at IL&FS Education and Technology Services Ltd (IETS). He was also a member in High Power Expert Committee on Urban Development, GOI. He worked in Indian Administrative Service from 1971-2007. He has worked as a Chief Secretary in Government of Gujarat from 2005-07. He was Additional Secretary in Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and also in Ministry of Agriculture. He served as a Joint Secretary, Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. He served as The Principal Secretary in Finance Department and Educational Department.

 
    Mr. Vasant Shah
 
 
 

Mr. Vasant Shah is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has more than 40 years of
experience of working in the Public Sector as well as Private Sector. His areas of expertise
include company formation, banking, capital market, loan syndication and merger, etc. His
areas of interest are balance sheet study and investment. Mr. Shah is a trustee of Sarjan
Foundation and the Director of Gujarat Lease Financing Limited, Torrent Cables Limited, U.N.
Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre.

 
    Dr. Shailendra Gupta (Registrar)

 

 
 
 

Dr. Gupta completed Ph.D in Education from Hemchandra Acharya North Gujarat
University, Patan, Master of Education (M Ed) from Regional Institute of Education (NCERT),
Bhubaneshwar, Orissa and Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling from NCERT,
New Delhi. He has 14 years of experience of working in the field of Education and is a well
known teacher trainer and has conducted workshops for more than 150 schools spread over
India. He has also worked as key resource person for Karm Yogi Sibir for the Principals of
Gujarat Board. He is actively associated with National Council for Teacher Education, Indira
Gandhi National Open University, Air force Wives Welfare Association, Prabhat Education
Foundation and Ganpat University, Mehsana.
