The Holi Festival: CTU celebrated it with gracefully
‘Holi’ comes from the word ‘hola’ which means sacrifice. And the festival is a reminder that we must live our lives in a spirit of service and sacrifice.
Holi is one of the most boisterous festivals of India, was celebrated with a splash of colour and an array of water guns by the students and the faculties at Calorx Teachers’ University (CTU) on 1st March 2018. The event was a superb sharing of culture and fun.
“CTU Students enjoyed splashing eco-friendly colours on friends and faculties. It was a great experience for everyone as the festival of Holi signifies the coming together of different communities and the celebration of the spirit of universal brotherhood.
“We at CTU were very happy to celebrate Holi with our students of diverse culture. We hope this festival of colours fills each & every student’s life with happiness. CTU celebrates various festivals of our culture and every care is taken to provide joyous and festive moods to various celebrations, said Mr Lalit Adhikari, Registrar I/C, Calorx Teachers’ University”.
